The permanent wire kit that comes with the device has a positive and negative wire. The positive is pinched in the car's fuse box of a dome light (or other unimportant fuse) and the black wire ground out to a screw or bolt nearby connecting to the car's chassis. Then, you remove the iTrack's battery and leave it out. Connect the permanent wire kit to the unit and you are done.
